Fat One Steamboat - Dinner Box for myself

Tonight I decided to just settle for some light snacks since I've been having too much of food intakes which makes me feeling very guilty what more not been working out for ages..gosh..what a super unhealthy lifestyle .:(

Then this little franchised food business "Lok-Lok" came up to my mind...PreviouslyI had tried this outlet at Bandar Puteri as well, but difference is we mingled and joined in the crowd of eateries standing nearby the Lok-Lok van to gobble and choose what we like and finish up there itself. To be frank, I dont really like the idea of standing while having food forcing down your throat, it seems as IF you look likea hungry ghosts wondering off streets without a place to settle down comfortably for food. haha.Besides, secondly...it's bad for your digestion. But fact is, this is how the term "Lok-Lok" came about and that's how exactly they run the business. It has many other franchised outlets located at every other corners of heavenly food places, popular spots which is nearby shopping complexes and usually a well developed area with many entertaintment outlets crawling nearby which gains popularity.

However, for this time, we decided that we should just go ahead with the idea of "TaPau" bungkus balik back home to eat it later. haha. Which actually in the end, turns out to be a bad idea. Those fish balls, especially the fu-chuk and squids tasted cold and clammy...it's not crispy enough, it has lost it's original "Lok-Lok Concept" - the idea of eating it hot from steaming boiled water where you dipped it in to cook. It's just the reverse of Lok Lok enjoyment and fun described above. haha. So one word of advice,if you happen to try out Lok-Lok, please be one of the hungry ghost crowds, stay put where you are and enjoy it there! :D As a matter of coincidence perhaps, I've suffered from an uneasy tummy feeling right after eating it back home. Luckily no "food poisoning" for me. Thank God.

Prices wise pretty standard, which I bet these Lok-Lok business owners, do gain profitable share on the selling price quoted. Basically, Normal Fish Balls, Meat Balls, Fish Balls stuffed with meat or vegetables are selling at RM1.20 per stick. Squids are selling at RM 2.00 per stick. Then the Taiwan Sausage which we ordered is selling at RM 1.80 per stick.Other varieties which you can find there basically cost you at RM 1.20 per stick (Almost all of it). So, you can eat , and eat till you drop...and you still have a balance of half amount you fork out from a piece of RM50 note! Worth it? :) Try it out and you will know.
