Lunch at Genki Sushi, Sunway Pyramid

Happy Deepavali for any Indian readers here! Believe it or not , I guess everywhere was damn packed and jammed up with people...the sunway complex was so crowded that it's so difficult to find an available seat in any of the eating outlets...damn...and perhaps even unusually more with the recent expansion of Sunway new wing centre..which is in fact so poshly renovated - golden paintings , egypytian mural, and shining gold lamps...I wondered these construction must have costed a billion ...sales were high and dry in Sunway , I cant even get a reasonable piece of shirt or dress from any of the shops..and I gave up eventually..just ended up with a miserable piece of shirt to wear casually at RM 39. That's the cheapest bargain indeed ..you can find it there!

We were catching up on StarDust movie , but before that need to fill up our hungry stomaches...hehe..so we hopped in to Genki Sushi..wanted something light and healthy..It was packed up as well, at least manage to find a spot for the two of us...thank god. :D I'm gonna apologise for not able to take a complete snapshot of the food picture cos I was really busy eating after waited impatiently for our food..service was extra slow , not sure why..I remembered, it wasn't like this last time when we had our dinner..maybe it's on a weekday night..that concluded my observation..but it's a little annoying though waiting so long...and in the end my bf ended up cancelling his bowl of noodle and have to be contented eating more sushi! What a day! These are only some of our sushi orders.....We actually called about 7 plates of sushis selections, and as usual he picked the raw tuna fish, salmon stuffs..which I didnt take at all..I cant imagine myself eating those anyway..hehe..that mini round cake, seems to me like their Japanese style mooncakes..haha..but actually it's not..inside fillings are made up of green bean, peanut, and red bean. Kinda cute right? :P

Then luckily for me my bowl of Udon mee soup came by..it's basically very standard style of serving with the usual sea weed, unagi prawn flour which was already soaked together in the soup, some green pepper and carrot slices and soup to flavour with..japanese food seriously is much healthier as there is basically nothing much of oily, greasy or fatty stuffs ..dont you think? I love their fat Udon noodle actually. I always prefer the dry ones, but unfortunately they dont have that in the menu, unlike other so called Japanese restaurants. In fact, recently I've discovered that I don't need to get my favourite Udon noodle from these Japanese restaurant anymore cos, in the supermarket you have those!! Exactly the same almost, just that the noodle is not as thick, but you can still get to taste original Japanese udon noodle feel by buying those available in one pack for 5 . Of cos, generally it's gonna cost more than the normal instant noodle..:P however, it's so much cheaper than eating it in Japanese restaurant. Only about RM 2 per pack! haha.:D

Overall bill amount came up to RM 60 plus..phew..imagine it aint that cheap going to Japanese restaurant , agree? despite the fact that my bf has already cancelled his order after giving up waiting for more than half an hour! Green tea is served hot only but with unlimited refills. hehe...I would think at if you are looking for more choices of sushi, go to Sushi King instead. But in terms of taste wise, I would personally opt for Genki Sushi. :) Check it out yourself.
Genki Sushi location is situated at their Old Wing, same level with the TGV cinema. You cant miss it! ;)
