Eating at Dave Deli's , Subang

It was Friday night and also one last day to get an evening gown for my annual dinner on Saturday night...I was so scared that I couldnt get any..Imagine just few hours of searching , if luck was not on my side, I'll be doomed. haha...thank goodness I managed to get one black evening coktail dress in less than 100 bucks! And with a pair of sandals to suit with the golden mask ..just simply perfect. :P I wanted to go Subang since it was quite sometime since Ive been there and I missed the only branch of Dave Deli's at that place. One thing about Dave Deli is there's quite a limited number of outlets and it's kinda hard to settle down at one of these places where ever you need and the only outlet at Subang here pnly opens till 930pm. That's rather early isnt it?

We ordered their banana pancakes with vanilla ice cream toppings as usual..and he simply love it so much..in between layers of pancakes, there's few slices of bananas . The sweet creamy pancakes which is sweet and cold with smell of vanilla just blends in nicely all together. Yum, yum...:D As for our main orders, we had their favourites, Chicken Quarter plate in BBQ gravy. That's Dave Deli's specialty. In fact dave deli's chicken tasted so much better than Nandos or Kenny Rogers due to the gravy I guess..Maybe due to the unpopularity of Dave Deli's which made it so numbered compared to the better competitor such as Nandos or Kenny Rogers. Sorry that I could not mention the price as I was so rush with getting my stuffs for the annual dinner and even while we had our dinner, it was all so quick. haha.

My Mysterious Party Mask for the Annual Dinner, Finally!

Haha..I'm so thankfully glad that I've managed to solve one task of preparation for the annual dinner..and tomorrow will need to hunt for an evening gown to match the mysterious mask..something with striking yellow/brown/black combination will just be perfect match!! :D Hopefully I'm in luck tomorrow to get a suitable gown easily..Pheww..as It will be a hell of a time during weekend as I still gotta work since early morning till evening..and be back to work on Sunday still...Poor me..I did wanted to apply leave on Sunday, but too bad was rejected. Grrrr! Damn. Here's the Mask..It's really cool...it's in fact so cheap and I was taken by suprise especially in places like Bangsar. This shop has many masks varieties to sell and anything you need for party functions , you can find it there! Seriously I would not spend more than RM 50 bucks for just a mask..it's really silly to do that knowing you wont be making use of it much right?? In fact, I am really convinced that I will just march in to the ballroom with my face uncovered and with jeans too! Heck..since I'm actually working that day and there's not much time left for me to prepare. But then , when Im hearing all these gossipings and serious plans about the masks and gown thingy, I dont wanna be left out of cos, obviously as I will definitely be ALONE! Gotta follow the crowds isnt it? . :D

My Rest Days are back today!

Sigh...what a long week for me..with after the graduation last week..time really flies...it's been almost 1 week since my graduation past ..it's been tiring 2 days at work in office especially this week since I'll be sitting for an exam..not death row exam kinda thingy but it is vital and crucial for me...I'll be expecting another final hurdle in about a month's time and that is gonna be worse double than this one...well, doesnt matter how things will turn out but I'm gonna just give my best shot and live with hope that my wish will come true and work as planned when it comes to my career... but this week ..at least there's something exciting to look forward to...Our company annual dinner is here!!! I'm so happy to have the opportunity to join since with all the shifts schedules , sometimes it can be so difficult to attend these activities and events, but yet it is also a compulsary for me to dig my way in somehow else it's gonna affect your yearly performance review ..hehe..wicked eh..:P

Apart from all these anticipation coming this weekend, I'm also a bit moody and down that for the whole of next month, it's gonna be a long period of night shifts without any rest during weekdays..only weekends..with this, I cant no longer spend some really quality time with my family and bf and even joining in for my family gathering dinner..sigh..this coming Christmas, I don't even get a day's off as well..since my working hours is actually following UK including of their Public Holidays...:( sad huh..it really sounded so pathetic ..but eventually I realised there must be some sacrifices made in order to achieve something you want in life right? The theme for our company annual dinner is a bit frustrating but filled with mystery and fun I supposed perhaps..cos everyone of us got to get ourselves disguised "behind a Mask" when we entered the ballroom. hahaha..It really reminded me of the Halloween Party they had abroad. .and I'm really having a hard time hunting for one mask to wear. Trust me..but finally after some searching , they had few spots like at Sri Hartamas, One Utama, Bangsar so far which have shops selling party stuffings. Cool huh..:P Anyway, I've still got one mission to complete...which is to get myself an evening gown which suits my mask..pretty tough and tedious job since I'm expecting myself to stay home and do nothing but rest and watch DVD....No choice.

Anyways, I'm gonna still look forward for this and when I got my mask, shall post it in here yeah...haha.:D

One memorable & unforgettable event

The day has finally arrived , yes my Graduation! I was feeling odd initially as when I walked in to the Sunway Resort Hotel, I didnt notice anyone in graduation gown attire ..perhaps I was one of the early birds..hehe..well, then the going through of registration, collection of robes and individual photograpy were pretty fast and boring in fact since it's kinda pathetic that I know no one back there, you don't really get the actual feel of graduating in a group of frens - in a college environment and whatmore when it has been long due since almost 2 years back from the actual graduation day! sigh..there were no part timers who joint me during my semester previously and I was the only survivor there, so as to speak. Eventough I felt a bit old in my graduation gown, the rest of the crowds were not young either..could see it from their faces that they must have been working already by now..haha..:P I guess I'm not exactly alone, since I have my faithful dear to keep me company throughout the one day event...

I must say it's pretty tiring when after almost 5 hours plus wearing the gown .imagine the weight of the gown could actually caused me a neck sprain that night during dinner and I couldnt wait to take it off me ! :D Right after the ceremony stage, I was starving like hell! Pheww. I quickly and impatiently took the whole suit off my body weight and believe me..it was such a relief - feels light again! hahaha. I was quite frustrated coming to know that the silly girl right in front of me during the stage graduation, was practically day dreaming and she didnt hear her name called out..so when it comes to my turn, she went up the stage and seriously she didnt even then realised it wasnt her name! OMG..this is insane. I was speechless and stoned out for a few seconds..couldnt believe what that had happened ! Damn it. Not anyone else but my turn! How on earth could this be happening...I was cursing her right and left that moment..seriously I was so pissed off. Then the funny thing is , I got no choice but to just proceed and marched out to the front stage when it's passed my name. The vice president counselor whom presented us the scrolls was mumbling softly to me " have you missed out your name?" goshh..no! Of cos NO..it's that silly dumbass girl right before me. Of cos I couldnt say that , but those words were just right at the tip of my lips in fact. Aih..darn. Anyway, later on I went and sort things out with the photographer - just to make sure that when the pics are sent to my house in 3 weeks time, it's not a wrong one! :)

The food unfortunately..I didnt get to take snapshots of them since I was really so hungry and too tired after an all day's event with the smiling and posing for pictures ..until my jaw and muscles surrounding the lips area feels numb ! hahaha. Food generally tasted okay..nothing impressive like what we expected to be...it's typical hotel food and it should be made clearly that hotel food prices are a whole lot costly! With RM 1K allocated for one table, the food could have been abalones, and shark fins in fact ..but nope..sadly. It's definitely profit gains whenever there are such functions or event in hotels.... Don't expect much out from it anyway. So, it's nevertheless, a day where I will always remember till life..it's the moment of joy and the presence of your family members and loved ones whom celebrated and shared it with you that's worth more than anything else. I'm so thankful that I had one simply loving and supportive family and not to forget my darling. :) Thank You all.

Finally the long awaited day has come!! - It's my graduation!

I've been thinking back for the past 2 years back when I was still struggling and juggling with my degree while working back in IBM..Can't really recalled how I survived through the long and painful endurance and with persistence to complete my degree even when at most times, all that I can barely remember was ..I wondered how many pails of sweat, tears and $$ which i've endlessly poured in just to get the damn piece of paper! Working as a part time student and working full time at that tormented period was really draining out my brain cells..haha. But in one meaningful and most unforgettable thing is what matters now, I've finally jumped through the long hurdle and be one really proud graduate in my own way now....

My parents were so excited and enthusiastic about my graduation which is falling on November 25th , more than myself so as to speak..but looking at their joy and pride they wanted to share with me really touched my heart..I wanted to thank them especially my mom for staying through with me and always the one giving me faith, trust and support during my fight for the degree..nothing comes easy especially when you are talking about this seemingly piece of paper but worth more than money could buy in exchange for that. :) They bought so many cute stuffs like the graduation owl furrrry animal, motar head tiny cute bears in a bouquet of roses , photo frame album to frame in all my sweet & unforgettable memories during graduation day and a cute pencil holder with something doing with graduation..I laid all of them on my room table - for at least a one night show to have my eyes feast on them while beaming me with a smile. I think I could soon fall asleep with a happy face tonight!! hahaha. :D

Tomorrow is gonna be so busy and an early start of the day for me since I need to be early at Sunway Resort Hotel where the grand occasion is going to be hold. :P Starting with the registration at 1pm, photo session and robing till 5 pm plus more photo taking session with my family and bf and closing the day will be a grand dinner after the graduation ceremony. Phew..I just can't wait for it! So..stay tune for more pictures and I really hope I will be taking in pictures myself on the food if I can remember hehehe...In fact, I'm taken by suprise that this time graduation seem to be one really fine and grand occasion as it's being the first ever held at Sunway Resort Hotel since the programme university which I've been enrolled into has connection and the honour to hold it outside of Sunway College which in a way is really a good thing!! I felt so lucky..

Dinner at Manhattan Fish Market Restaurant

Ah..finally it's my first off day again..and I'm preparing myself to sleep late and enjoy all the free time I had even if sometimes it means gotta sacrifice my sleep...hehe..time really flies so fast that even 3 days of off days, doesnt seem enough at all!! Sigh..I wanted to catch the movie "BeoWolf" since I saw the review and looks really not bad at all...it's been almost 2 weeks since the movie opening and believe it or not, it's still fully booked everywhere! Damn. I cant believe it. And it's not so convenient these days to go online whenever and where ever I wanted to do my booking unlike last time..and I'm counting for my bf to book it. And he...as usual screw it up..the last minute thingy always make you a loser by the end of the day...so that's it..I ended up missing the movie tonight..I was really making such a Hoo-Haa because of this, but nevertheless we will watch it this Friday..Thank God..:P So, we stopped by this place to eat since it's really been a long long time since I stepped foot here..and miss their big platter of dory fish...hehehe...

One thing Im fascinated about is the place and environment itself..look at the design and photo frames hang up the wall , it says every single thing about fishes..anything which is related to fish. I bet the owner has really came up with such innovative and creative ideas to mantain the design throughout all branches and make it a distinctive restaurant being the first of it's own..no copycats unlike what you notice in some certain restaurants.

Actually we wanted to order something individual , but then I was so tempted to order the big meal platter for 2-3 person which costed RM 50 bucks and they have a mixture of cuttlefish, prawns, fish and mushrooms..but little did I know all of it is fried stuffs...I wanted just fish platter alone, but then again it seems a little bit boring to have one type isnt it? hahaha..greedy me..but eventually it turns out I prefer grilled cooking than fried...every single thing like the prawns, fish were really fresh . The tender meat at first bite with the fragrance from fried crispy flour, just simply delicious.. lucky for me that I noticed the pan surface wasnt oily at all...that's a good thing to know. :D He loves the mushrooms so much..it's kinda special since it's a huge mushrooms where they take it to fry..imagine having to taste fried mushrooms...it's not something which you will eat it everyday..right? I let him take almost all the baked butter rice since he was craving to eat rice ( rice king)..haha. Overall, though apart from those stuffs being fried and a little bit dry , it's worth the price since the huge gigantrous portion can actually cater for 3 person instead of two! We really have problem finishing the plate clean as I was stuffed up till I cant bearly move my tummy initially..haha. We left the big thick fries untouched - no choice..too bad it's a waste I know but hey not too bad since we didnt throw away any fishes and prawns ..LOL :D

My advise is, if you ever call this, only do so if you are coming in big groups. Then there is more variety and freedom to choose and call. This place definitely wont be my last since it's considered one of my favourites especially when it comes to fine fish meals..:) Total bill amount came up to RM 62 inclusive govt and service charges. I ordered their Mint tea by the way at RM 5.

Broken Laptop Adaptor ....

It's such a saddening piece of news to discover that my laptop adaptor wire seal has brokenoff unknowingly last night and caused me to have difficulty charging my laptop from now on...it's been with me for almost 3 years or more ..it's been a long time ..I love my laptop so much that I would not trade in or compromise with any others unless I'm really left with no other alternatives to get the adaptor replaced. It's still a good piece of laptop and it has been working for me for so long, there's somehow a close bond or attachment between me and "it". I know this sounded absurd, since I was talking like as if I've lost a person! haha.

But the main problem is...where the hell am I gonna get the replacement? I know the model isnt brand new, it's much an old model. It's ASUS brand. I believe the model could have been obsolete by now since IT gadgets are fast changing due to the frequent change in technology...I consulted my close fren whom I bought this laptop over, and he advised me to get from Low Yatt..well, this is what everyone will think of since Low Yatt is famous for keeping old stocks and u can get almost "ALL" things in there. But what IF it doesnt? Am i losing out of choices to go get my replacement? Is there anyone who knows anywhere else?? If you do, please, please do email me or buzz me here. Would really appreciate that very much!

Restaurant Tian Yew, New place at Bandar Puteri, Puchong

Recently, I've been really getting bored of eating at Puchong area but it's not a choice for me since we couldnt go far due to my hectic and irregular shifts and his...we just can't seem to travel to far away places to hunt for new place, environment and food. Sigh..so we decided to stop by again at the newly open phase at Bandar Puteri..it was kinda desserted initially...most of the shops are not renovated and some left as empty slots. Not much happening around there seriously...but then I spotted this resturant when with the Banner Tian Yew..it daunted on me where this name sounds really familiar..but I can't say why. So, i decided to check it out..in fact it was really late that time..10pm for dinner since I wasnt feeling hungry earlier. ..it's a nice and cold environment since I can recall that the the air condition was blasting towards my back and its freezing cold. :D But it's quite a major letdown for me since I was expecting to see lots of choices to pick, however there are only several Hakka signature dishes served there ..and everything is basically porky! Nothing which has non meat item ..even then there isnt any fish..omg...even how it was cooked is basically purely "Hakka-ish". It's all way beyond my expectation...left with no choice better, we ordered their Salted Drunken Chicken (that is the only chicken dish serve there!). They dont have 3/4 serving but either one whole chicken else half a chicken..he gave a look at me hinting that it could be too much..haha but heck.I still wanna try that out.. :D It's thankfully Kampung Chicken..so it's not so oily and more healthy in a way..the gravy tasted okay but a bit salty ..perhaps it's meant to have a little of both . Not bad and we managed to wallap everything..however he mentioned that the meat is tough...of cos my dear..it's suppose to be....else it wouldnt have been Kampung Chicken right?? Hmm..;/ It costed RM 18 for half a portion.

Then we ordered their so called Hakka style of Yong Tau Fu just that we only requested for Fu-Chuk and Tau Fu. It turns out really nice and pleasant since the difference is, it's a soup base and their Tau Fu Pok is just not empty or hollow inside..there's a small piece of minced pork placed right in the middle of the tau fu Pok. Cute and really special in it's own sense of style. :P The Fu Chuk is in big chunks and soaked in with the soup..really nice..slurpy yummy. haha. I've never so far tasted anything like this before and embarrasingly admitted while being a Hakka myself, I've never tasted or seen this dish from young till now! :D so pathetic huh. It's only at RM 8.

The other two dishes we ordered were vege based..in fact if you are opting for some light weighted and healthy eating, and so happen love to eat Hakka food, this is the place which you must visit... :) It gives you the sense of home cooking food right from their reown Hakka kitchen... The vegetables is tasty as well..they added in lot's of finely chopped fried garlics and the taste just simply superb! It's only at RM 8. As for the side orders, I was intrique by this peculiar shaped Sui Kaw (looks rather similar but i know it's not). My bf looked at it in such a funny manner and told me, this surely sucks..haha cos the appearance looks white, plain and cold..and he had no idea or could not imagine what's gonna be inside there. hahaha. :D He's just paranoid of seeing white stuffs I guess... though appearance don't seem appealing initially, but guess what??? It's nice! Inside fillings are just vege stuffs such as sliced tau fu, long beans and something else which I'm not sure what. When it goes with the chillie sauce, it's so perfect! You gotta try this too. It's only at RM 3.

Then as for drinks, we just ordered Sea Coconut and even with that , it's in such a big bowl..hahha.. One thing you should know about Hakka food is that everything its pork and made up of pork..their specialty is in there actually. Their famous Ho Po Lui Cha seems to be such a favourite among the customers though I dont know what's it..it only seems so vegetarian to me and plain..but according to him, it's suppose to be nice and healthy. Well, maybe ill try that out one day..and definitely this restaurant won't be in my ban list of cos..hehe. Total bill amount came up to RM 45 plus inclusive of the usual tax charges.. Not too bad eh..:P

Oh god..I didnt know the complete address for this restaurant..but just get in to the newly opened area of Bandar Puteri...the new food court. As you come out from there, there's a traffic light..just go straight and turn left in..there are many new row shop houses inside and it's somewhere in there..Ill try to get the address soon. Sorry for this.

Cute Packings - Beef Sweets from China

Recently, I get to taste beef...sweet savoury beefs which came in sweet wrapping style in one mini pack..at first initially I tought it was just normal sweets..but to my suprise it was NOT! haha. It's one my his fren's housemate stuffs - someone whom just came back from Beijing.. Wow..i never tought other countries could have so many creative ways to attract customers and come up with such brilliant idea. In fact I love the real pepper beef snacks from US as well..each time when our relatives came down, definitely we will get to have these. The US beef snacks with Beijing are different in a way one is sweeter and as for the US ones, it's generally pure. It's also tougher as you would need to bite bit by bit with your teeth and chew..hehe..but it's really chewy and delicious! It's a bit spicy since you can visibly see it on the beef slices. The beijing ones are unique and has it's own taste...it comes in small cubes wrapped up with shiny wrappers..it's soft and tasted something like meat floss except that the floss is made up of beef strands. Yummy good seriously..When I ever visit Beijing, definitely will go grab it home..haha. :P

Second Review on Restaurant Kee Tek at Bandar Puchong Utama

It's been another round of review which I've promised earlier on this restaurant and sadly I forgotten to take some of the pictures we ordered as I was too hungry and starved that my concentration was distracted off a bit ...:( Anyways, this is a place where you MUST go and check it out yourself as they serve really good food..especially when it comes to the Kapah (something like La-La) ..but the shells were much bigger and rounded in shape...., the Yok Choi Kai and more..in fact, it's only my 3rd visit here I guess and there are so many more of their signature dishes which we've yet to try it out!!! This time me and my family visited the place together with my bf and had a great dinner meal there..though the environment is not air-conditioned, but it's airy and comfortable enough for family outings...It's a bit unfortunate that the location is somewhat hideous and out from the buzzling area of Puchong..so it is not suprising that it could have missed many eyes ...

The Yok Choi Kai was so sumptuos and delicious ..with tender chicken meat baked in claypot and herbs..the sweet aroma of herbs and natural sweetness from the chicken blends in with the gravy ...one only setback was the portion seems a little bit small for a table of 6 person. I guess the owner is under estimating our huge appetite for food..should have emphasized on LARGE next time..hahaha. We ordered the Kapah (La-La) in ginger soup again since I needed to let my parents try out this . Trust me..this is so much better than the publicised and well known place like La-La Chong ...Even my dad and everyone else were giving good comments on this and that already proven what I had earlier reviewed.. :D The other dishes we called were their Ku Lou Yuk, and Vege...these two are more ordinary and I believe other places serve almost the same...As for the Butter Prawns, the dry fried butter straws is a bit different in the sense, it is much more creamy and soft and there are 10 huge prawns in it!! Fresh as well...Nevertheless, it's one whole satisfactory meal with good food in all that I need to say here..and it's only RM 95 ! Don't you think everything else is self explainatory now? ;P

Something to take note though on this restaurant..which perhaps the owner need to improve..there isnt any menu which we can browse through..as most of it were pasted on their walls and written in chinese. So, for those who dont read or understand it, may have trouble ordering...haha. There isnt any receipt given at the end of the bill payment unless I supposed if it's upon request..but since my bf is considered one of the regular customers there, everything comes easier since the boss knew him by now! :P Well, I will definitely come here again and again , no doubt about it..until all their dishes have been tried on and I shall put in my reviews here as well to share. :)
P/s: I will get the address and contact number soon..

Sleeping Wednesday & The shocking alarming Rate of thefts and robberies recently!!

It's been a hell of a weekend shift and night shift for me for the past 4 days and its blardy tiring for me...So what I practically did was just merely sleeping , eating, watching DVDs and resting all day long at home..I don't feel like lifting my fingers on reading, staring at PC screen or have anything doing with it..I need to pamper myself with all the unhealthy lifestyle of a lazy bone...even sleeping after that, nothing seems feel fresh and alive for me until the next thursday morning...believe it or not..it's leaving my whole system numb and paralyze physically and mentally exhausted..sigh...I've been thinking it through lately if I will ever survive longer and withhold for longer than 6 months ..not mentioning a year !!

However, it's been really a crazy day today with loads of DVDs ive watched , ranging from Good Luck Chuck, to Thai ghosts movies and so on and on...I had one shop nearby my home which I can be assured it's the best place so far with the cheapest and finest quality DVDs selling around...It's only RM 20 for 3 pieces ..do you think you can really get such good bargain?? Nope...I seriously doubted it. haha. I gotta start taking up Yoga classes soon...else Im gonna pile up those fats on my tummy and the most risky places...like my butt and tighs. Hopefully I can live up to my words and new resolution!! :P

Frankly, Ive been knowing and hearing lots of thefts, robberies and runaways news on cases which involved cars such as Toyota and Honda being the most in demand targets of these ruthless thieves sprawling and preying on such cars during late nights.. and with realising lately few days ago that my neighbour was robbed during her way back to home along the small pathway leading back...she was attacked by few indians riding on a bike and her handbag was snatched away..while resisting it, her wrist was slashed with a small knife causing her to bleed so much ...when she actually related the incident to my mom, her wrist was still bandaged and wrapped up 4 inch thick and blood still seen from the outside...that really scares me like shit. I'm starting to fear for my safety especially when now im working in late nights and shifts..precautions seems to be constantly on my mind and the truth is ...you will never know what will happen when you are running low on luck that particular fateful day to come..why are all these thefts and robberies going on and even more profound and daring these days?? Aren't the authorities doing anything to curb these?? What have been done so far?? When can we citizens enjoy a better and safe free environment where we dont have to worry about our own life at stake out there??

Four Days of Zombie Nights for me......

Hell..it's gonna be 4 consecutive nights for me this week - Im gonna call it Zombie Nights for me....it's a total change of sleeping time..i wonder if Im gonna get used to it , sleeping during daylight and work during night time...Damn..I tought it was easy initially..but when time comes, you feel like screaming out by the tought of it..I'm so, so in bad mood now...it's like in another 1 hour to 2, I got to force myself in bed despite the fact that I just woke up at 830 am!!!! Argghh. It must be really crazy if anybody can sleep again in such short hours of break after waking up.

My shift is supposed to start early this morning and end at 7 pm , but for crise sake, it's been altered by my team lead - blame it on the indians as our whole team is filled with blacks..I dont understand why there is an overflowing of Indians and this seems to be such a bad idea and weak planning of resources during festive celebration isnt it?? Can't they notice this Huge Problem coming in earlier?? What the heck... I'm rather frustrated thinking about it. Here, they are facing shortage and there, they are squeezing whatever "that is left", dry !! ANyway, is there a point of pointing fingers and blaming anyone here when the thing is "who cares?" Does the "Management Cares always??" I seriously doubt it. It's gonna be one long night for me here and just gotta hang on tight till opportunity arises someday...No way I'm gonna be in this piece of shit for long.

Dinner at Puchong Utama - A second review next week with more details

Ok, ok..this is somehow rather silly of me not recalling the name of the restaurant cos it's like only been 3 times or so i've been there..just bear in mind, it's not those high class air conditioned restaurant which you are expecting it to be, since the place is only available with fans...I don't personally believe in going all out to posh high class restaurants or in hotels to get good food, cos I believe if you want to get real good food with value, these assumptions are wrong all together! ..and this is what my blog is mainly contributing for to those out there who believe the same way as I do.. :) I gonna do another review on this restaurant again next week with my family since I found out that their food was so reasonably cheap and good, most important of it all. The second review, I promise there will be pictures on more food and the place itself OK. :P

Talking abut their specialty, the best ever La-La which Ive so far tasted is right here! It's not those ordinary La-La you are talking about, since look at the picture above..it's those with rounded shape shells and probably a higher grade or different type but still within the La-La family..I dont know how are you gonna describe it in English terms..I only know it in the way people would recqonise the name "La-La". hahaha. :D Ive never like the way La-La is cooked in ginger soup or style like the above..Ive tried many other places, and ended up being my not so in favourite list...I always go for the Kam Heong La-La which is dry. But it has all changed since yesterday night..:D Thanks to my dear dear for bringing me here to write a good review on this. The soup base is fantastically good, with natural sweetness and a strong Smell of La-La ...even with just the soup to go with your rice, is indeed satisying enough! Could you imagine that?? I believe it's how the way it is prepared...the "skill" . The La-La meat was succulent and nice to chew on...at least no sand, rocks stuck in between and being too soft that there's hardly anything to chew on. Then we ordered their vege cooked with small anchovis ..just tasted nice..we dont want to call for anything which is too oily , so this was the best choice...Portion just nice for two person..since if it's too huge, there will be trouble..it's cooked perfectly since it tasted smooth.

erm..and this one above was their Sui Kau in spinach soup...actually you can find plenty of this especially in Ampang Yong Tau Fu outlets and suprisingly it tasted just as good as when you compare to any Yong Tau Fu places ..the way it's cooked and their soup taste. The sui kau is so much generous in fillings and it's mixed with prawns and fish paste..But I sensed some chicken or pork mince inside it..so that makes it something special or different from the usual Ampang Yong Tau Fu style..:D hehe... Of cos, nothing is complete without their Fried stuffs a little bit! Though I'm feeling guilty a bit for eating up so much of unhealthy foods recently without output..but hey, Im just gonna pamper myself with delicious food and lots of rest these 3 days before my night shift isn't it? So, it's still understandable for myself..haha. Generally, if you would to compare their fried Fu-CHuk, Taufu and stuffs, nevertheless you should just go and settle with places which solely do this..since they are definitely better..but this , doesnt taste too bad either..just that it's a bit more saltish. :P
I will definitely come back here for more..and I know their "Yok CHoy Kai" is famous ..Just call normal chinese dishes to go with rice instead of eating Yong Tau Fu and you surely wont regret...The total bill amount came up to RM 27 only which is so affordable and worth it! Next week will be another more review on this restaurant and details...stay tune! :D

Lunch at Genki Sushi, Sunway Pyramid

Happy Deepavali for any Indian readers here! Believe it or not , I guess everywhere was damn packed and jammed up with people...the sunway complex was so crowded that it's so difficult to find an available seat in any of the eating outlets...damn...and perhaps even unusually more with the recent expansion of Sunway new wing centre..which is in fact so poshly renovated - golden paintings , egypytian mural, and shining gold lamps...I wondered these construction must have costed a billion ...sales were high and dry in Sunway , I cant even get a reasonable piece of shirt or dress from any of the shops..and I gave up eventually..just ended up with a miserable piece of shirt to wear casually at RM 39. That's the cheapest bargain indeed ..you can find it there!

We were catching up on StarDust movie , but before that need to fill up our hungry stomaches...hehe..so we hopped in to Genki Sushi..wanted something light and healthy..It was packed up as well, at least manage to find a spot for the two of us...thank god. :D I'm gonna apologise for not able to take a complete snapshot of the food picture cos I was really busy eating after waited impatiently for our food..service was extra slow , not sure why..I remembered, it wasn't like this last time when we had our dinner..maybe it's on a weekday night..that concluded my observation..but it's a little annoying though waiting so long...and in the end my bf ended up cancelling his bowl of noodle and have to be contented eating more sushi! What a day! These are only some of our sushi orders.....We actually called about 7 plates of sushis selections, and as usual he picked the raw tuna fish, salmon stuffs..which I didnt take at all..I cant imagine myself eating those anyway..hehe..that mini round cake, seems to me like their Japanese style mooncakes..haha..but actually it's not..inside fillings are made up of green bean, peanut, and red bean. Kinda cute right? :P

Then luckily for me my bowl of Udon mee soup came by..it's basically very standard style of serving with the usual sea weed, unagi prawn flour which was already soaked together in the soup, some green pepper and carrot slices and soup to flavour with..japanese food seriously is much healthier as there is basically nothing much of oily, greasy or fatty stuffs ..dont you think? I love their fat Udon noodle actually. I always prefer the dry ones, but unfortunately they dont have that in the menu, unlike other so called Japanese restaurants. In fact, recently I've discovered that I don't need to get my favourite Udon noodle from these Japanese restaurant anymore cos, in the supermarket you have those!! Exactly the same almost, just that the noodle is not as thick, but you can still get to taste original Japanese udon noodle feel by buying those available in one pack for 5 . Of cos, generally it's gonna cost more than the normal instant noodle..:P however, it's so much cheaper than eating it in Japanese restaurant. Only about RM 2 per pack! haha.:D

Overall bill amount came up to RM 60 plus..phew..imagine it aint that cheap going to Japanese restaurant , agree? despite the fact that my bf has already cancelled his order after giving up waiting for more than half an hour! Green tea is served hot only but with unlimited refills. hehe...I would think at if you are looking for more choices of sushi, go to Sushi King instead. But in terms of taste wise, I would personally opt for Genki Sushi. :) Check it out yourself.
Genki Sushi location is situated at their Old Wing, same level with the TGV cinema. You cant miss it! ;)

Trying Out Ngar Choy Kai - Lou Wong Ipoh at Aman Suria Damansara

I was bored eating around Puchong and same area..so this time we are going further to Aman Suria Damansara..this place i believe not many had known of that there are shops and many eating places to explore though you may have heard of it's name...it reminded me of the same environment and feeling like Mont Kiara..hehe...anyway i really misses that place ..it's like been over months and maybe even a year coming that I have not step foot there!!!! :/ So well, talking back about Aman SUria, it's rather quieter there admist all the eating outlets opened up business at night...but I was having intention to catch few rounds of snooker after dinner initially...so I choosed here. :P

Then we saw this restaurant..and I really wanted to try it out since the big banner says Ipoh Lou Wong..haha meaning it's inheriting the famous all time Ngar CHoy Kai back in Ipoh hometown ..of cos it digged up my curiosity to check it out..cos I wanna know if the banner statement is talking about some truth or it's just a gimmick..hehehe :P It's quite a newly renovated restaurant and huge..it's clean in fact..but not many customers around unfortunately..but this situation looks the same for all other eating outlets nearby...He ordered Hor Fan chicken of cos..cos if it's Ipoh Hor Fun, the thing which makes it so special and extraordinary is their noodles. It 's gonna be silky smooth and soft. It's rather hard finding such noodles in KL town..my bf have tried all over the places so far but found none which could beat the original Ipoh taste..so pathetic huh..:D And guess what?? If you wanted really true Original Ipoh Hor Fan, please come here! It's really true that the banner live up to what it says. It's exactly the same taste like Ipoh..wow! My bf is so happy ..hahaha. And another shocking suprise is , it's only at RM 1.30!! so filthy cheap isnt it?? :D and yeah not to forget their meat balls soup as side orders..this is OK to us..cos it's normal anywhere..u can never get those springy effect of meat balls where you have your bite, you feel the spring! the soup however, is a little too much of flavourings..but anyway, we dont drink it usually...but it smells with chicken stock ..so its not purely relying on artificial flavourings I suppose! this is costed at RM 3.

And of cos needless to say, what's the point of eating Ngar CHoy Kai without calling white chicken glazed in sweet and oystered black sauce and their steamed Taugeh right?? However, I dont know why my bf commented that their chicken meat is a bit dissapointing to him..to me, it's just white chicken meat ..and the way how it's cooked doesnt seem to be much of a difference to me anywhere right?? :P He said, it wasn't soft enough....he's such a fussy eater..but that's a good thing..I always take him along to get more respectable comments about food since he knows much more of it than I think I do! haha. But it's still OK in overall ..their taugeh was splendid. It's fresh and just the same feel of eating Ipoh Ngar CHoy. It's only RM 2 for this. That plate of chicken costed RM 14 for two person.

Overall, the total bill amount came up to RM 25 ..it's a must place for you to visit if you ever go there OK? See it and check it out yourself. It's really a worth it credit given to this restaurant owner and at least some where which you know you can still get the taste of Ipoh Hor Fun in KL town. :P Ill definitely come back here again for more.

Facts of Life

It's been a hell of a weekend for me working 24 hours in total..everybody out there are relaxng and enjoying their weekends but things changed for me....the whole office is in total silence, even the slightest cricket or insect movement, you could hear it along the bushes and trees as I walked past the office garden ...that's dead scary especially when night falls...:P And it gets me on my goose bumps especially after hearing spooky story from one of my office team mate working same shift with me that day. ..Saturday night , she happened to drive back past the Kinrara lane along Bukit Jalil...the opposite of Petronas whole stretch, happened to had one major fatal accident which caused a massive jam right in the late quiet hour of midnight past 12am...the whole area was covered with crowds and passers by involving 4-5 cars which were severely damaged. And the weird thing is, there's always a major accident happened at the same spot and same time , and my team mate witnessed it. Goshh! ..scary man...I wish I don't have to bump into such stuffs myself...haha.

That's just one thing..but the best part was I get 3 days off from weekdays in a stretch..and that's the only best part I'm loving it. I've decided to just eat, relax, watch movie, laze around in my bed and do nothing else !!! It's like a precious gem to me..as I think I've over worked than I should be..hmm..that's why many of us IT folks couldnt stand shift duties and turnover is always relatively high. It's either you stick and hang on with it else call it quits since IT line is always so challenging ever and it gets worse in years to come. Unlike being in the management or business side, you have flexibility in terms of time and not so competitive and pressurising to meet up with real time deadline or critical on time environment. You can always put business plan to the next day or re-arrange your appointment as you like isnt it? :)

Ah..well, for me how then I wish I'm like her..my pet cat..whom is always taking her cat nap, twitching its ears and whiskers , having wonderful exciting dreams, snuggling and tucking her paws crossed on both sides while in deep sleep....having pampered with a comfortable home and being loved by us, is what everyone of us is looking for..coming to the fact that sometimes I almost envied her myself..haha..I know that sounded absurd, but it's true...here's a snapshot taken from mobile while she's in such a log! Meoowww!! Not even the slightest moves could wake her up from her slumber nap...Look at how cute and adorable she is !! :D Im sure you Must agree with me, if you are a cat lover yourself......

Dinner at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, IOI Mall Puchong

Hmm..it's really been my last Day to enjoy and chill out before I went in to my dreaded and torturing weekend shift for 12 hours long!! :( So, we stopped by to have our dinner here and then later on for few rounds of pool to relax of cos..:D I've always wanted to go here especially when we are at IOI Mall, but guess what..it's always so pack with people that we hardly can find any empty seats around...this place is rather famous among youngsters since the setting style, choices of food and the name itself speaks it all, dont you think? it reminds me of the Hong Kong typical modernised "char chan teng" in fact..hehe. If you are looking for great choices of varieties from bread to noodle to their all time favourite baked cheese rice at a reasonable price, get in here then!

I just missed their cheese baked rice so much, which was why I insisted to choose here to have my dinner actually. The last time I tried was like many months ago!! :P But this time, Im gonna have to try their cheese baked rice tuna. People usually will order the spare ribs or chicken chop cos that's the best ..I wanted a twist , trying something different thats why..in fact, they had so many choices of gravy to go with..white wine, bla bla which I couldnt even recall..since Ive got no idea how each tasted like, I just opt the one recommended by the staff..haha. So, it was really good, yummy delicious..thank god it's not a bad choice. Rice melted with cheese baked with tuna slices and simmer with their sweet and sour fragrance wine..just perfect!! :D It's only at RM 12.30.

My bf wanted cheese baked rice too..but then it deceive the purpose of having to order both of the same choice ..and besides I wanted to blog !! so he understand! Poor thingy..haha. His was their luncheon meat with egg noodle soup...looks simple..nothing really special since it's something like the mamak maggie mee goreng you can find there! haha. Since he must have his egg and longing for luncheon meat, this pick seems to be the ideal choice of his...It's quite a waste coming all the way to eat maggie mee goreng soup actually, but there's just too much of a variety and basically we dont wanna stuff ourself up till the throat in such late hour of the night...very bad and unhealthy ..hehe..His one is at RM 6.30. but we didnt actually quite ended up being satisfied with just these, so we decided to order their Toasted bread with Ice cream!! LOL..the picture in menu spoilt us so badly and it's so tempting! haha.

We got a shock of our life when the dessert came...oh my..the bread is so much thicker and higher than the usual gardenia loaf bread and that's not all..the ugly sight of guilt was the creamy thick peanut butter spread on top and additional ice cream toppings!!! hahaha. I was telling him..No Way! Im gonna finish this up with you..it's all yours!! haha. ANyway, we managed to finish up a good half loaf of it and the ice cream part..and left the rest. :P By then , trust me, we are so stuffed that I actually felt like throwing out! It's at RM 5.90.

Before the dessert, we actually called side orders too!! Believe it or not..cos, I am so curious to find out their fish ball dipped in curry gravy or sauce and how it tasted like compared to the similar fish ball we had previous week at Sungei Wang Plaza, or near Low Yatt, KL. It's only about 6 pisces of it ...and suprisingly it tasted farely well , just that the fish ball is not so springy and spongy!! that's his comment anyway..but to me, it's still good. The curry gravy really super duper hot!! It stings after the first bite!! hehe..but cool..since I love hot and spicy stuffs...it's only at RM 6.20..you can go try it too. It's my recommendation to you..you wont regret it since I enjoyed it very much.

Alright..when it comes to drinks..im just too spoilt with choices that I cant decide what's best..so I simply ordered Ginger Lime Tea for myself..and you know what?? It sucks but it's good for health!! If you have too much flatulence in your body and you cant get rid of it completely , just take it..it's gonna help you clear off the excess!!! hahaha. besides, ginger has always been used as one of the herbal ingredient for pregnant women after giving birth ..that's anyway the old beliefs..but I believe the myth behind this in fact..it's really true. :P Once in a while, why not? it's a healthy way of perging out air from your system once in a blue moon dont you think? :D No harm since I dont do it everyday cos it's really offensive to the people nearby you if you openly do it..that's quite an embrassment to me. He ordered Salt Lime sprite..at RM 4.40 for both.

Overall bill came up to RM 45...I think it's worth it considering the fact we had so many food for just two of us right!? haha..definitely will come back for more since to me I prefer this than their similar competitor Kim Gary...Kim Gary sucks like shit..their noodle is even far worse than here to me..I dont understand why it's still so popular among the choices of younger generations..perhaps it's the place or environment..or maybe you get to eye on pretty gals and boys ? :P

Eating Crabs at Restaurant Tak Fok , Bandar Puteri, Puchong

Hmm..last night for dinner, im reluctantly obliged to accompany him for crabs eating since personally I dont fancy it that much...hehe..we went to the famous Tak Fok Restaurant which is no longer a stranger to the crab lovers out there..since they have another well known branch at Kepong itself..if you are looking for fresh and reasonable priced crabs, here is the place you should not miss! :) In fact , previously their price of crabs is even far cheaper , only RM 18-19 per kg..now the banner has changed to RM 24 . I bet the owner is feeling some loss and needed to gain more profits especially when business is doing so good huh..couldnt blame them anyway..

We ordered the CHeese Crabs since it's part and parcel of accomodating me..haha..he knows I will not touch one bit of the crabs and would only nibble on those "Man Taos"...so of cos, cheesy gravy seems to be the best combination to go with it. .Initially I disapproved the idea of "cheesy" stuffs since I've been experiencing bloating tummy and flabby arms from an unhealty lifestyle of sitting on my butt for long hours without any movement at work....there's hardly any output but more of input! It's really scary since he is also developing rounded tummy and fat abs building on the most prone areas..argghhh! Anyway, it's just one Kg..so no big deal..as im not eating..so he will need to wallap and savage everything himself..poor thing..haha. He loves it anyway..:P It's nice since the crab meat tasted so fresh and hard..and to mention he had a real hard time cracking the crab shells ...biting with his teeth dont seem to work! It's crazy anyway. The cheesy gravy obviously tasted so creamy rich and it's a perfect blend to go with the "Man Taos". But in the end , he has got no choice but to leave that three pisces untouched as he is already eating up his throat..whole table filled with one heap of shell remainings..that's like so greedy sight of him..hahaha. He blamed me for causing his tummy to get even worse...Oucch. :P

Since it's like so plain boring to just order crabs all the way and I had nothing on my dinner plate to eat, we ordered individual noodle as side orders..I had their Fried Hor Fun or to me it looks exactly like Fried Kuay Teow...it's really nothing spectacular about this dish since I think it's rather oily...thank goodness it's not a huge serving as I wasn't feeling hungry that time. I think I tasted better ones than here..cos it's apparently tasteless since it's not saltish enough..I need to add myself some black soya sauce as extra artificial flavouring ! haha. Besides that, it doesnt have the 'Wok or frying kuali fragrance" effect at all. (if you know what im talking about). I guess this place is only specialise in one thing which is their crabs. That's the only thing which brings up the popularity. It's time for them to bucken up and improve in other areas in my personal opinion. The Lou Shue Fan and mine costed RM 6 each.

As for his bowl of Lou Shue Fan, it's no way compared to the SS2 and Oriental Cravings ..they cant beat them..haha..It's plain and not tasty enough..you dont feel the kick at all...there's no eggs , only pork mince meat..the lou shue fan wasnt smooth enough. Definitely, it takes some skill to prepare . High time folks , get some training from the SS2 master! hehe :P..but so happen something to look forward to was their current promotion on Shar fin with crab meat soup. ..and it's suprisingly good! At least there's meat substance inside , it's not like drinking plain empty soup. .. Yum yum. Only at RM 1 per bowl! Dirt cheap isnt it?? :D But despite all that, it's pretty crowded too inside ..and basically there's still crowds coming even with the price increase in their crabs.

Well, overall bill amount came up to RM 44.50 inclusive of 5% Govt tax. It's quite a meal and relatively I'm thinking that this place has lost it's name for offering the best priced crabs now. It's no longer the same ...However, if it would be more convenient to get a spot nearby your home without the hassle of travelling too far, this would be your choice. Check it out yourself!

My 2 precious days before weekend shift & My Room Toys!!

Gosh..It's really been a tiring and nightmare week ever since I'm in the shift for the very first time...well, there's always good and bad side of it..good thing is you get off days during week days where everyone else is practically working!! :P It's like so so precious like gold..I practically spent my off days sleeping of cos..hehehe...Work is so far ok, but nothing that I would see myself doing in about 2 years down the road..cos it will become pretty boring and brain dead. I'm giving it maximum 2 years before I get myself crown with SAP. Hopefully dreams come true soon. :)

Nothing much this week, since ive been working round the night clock , so my blog seems pretty quiet down for the moment and I bet it would be like this ...for some time to come..nevertheless i will find time to write at least once a week!! so, to anyone out there who spotted my site and could have been a silent reader or supporter, thanks for the visit ;)

Im gonna actually pose up some of my cute little toys or stuffings which is rather peculiar and unique to me personally...it's actually on my bedroom display for the fun of it..to brighten up my room and bring some life or colours to it..hehe. The cute little cat standing up the wooden top carvings which similarly signifies a calendar with dates and months below is actually a gift from my sister after her homecoming trip back from Bali. That place is tremendously beautiful and I'm gonna envy and wait impatiently for my turn in about 3 months time. Imagine ringgit malaysia is much bigger compared to theirs- feels and makes us like Kings..isnt it? Im gonna shop and shop when I'm there till I drop.hahaha. And that round box with sunflower face paintings was actually tea bags inside from Bali- Balinese Tea perhaps? :P But it's something cute where you can actually decorate your room with so that it don't look so dull isnt it?

And this cute little teddy bear I supposed is taken from the famous Japanese character ? I heard my bf saying that...Hmm..could anyone of you please tell me the name? :P I think it's cute! I eventually saw many of these character when I came back to KL , and they have even much much bigger ones like giant seen on display..haha..but it's not cute anymore to me....cos it''s too huge..how didn't I noticed it previously..my goodness... And look at the miniature fortune cat sitting on top ..and what's so special about it, is that the statue can actually changes colours from luminous green, to yellow, pink and blue - just like a chameleon! :D I was so fascinated by it which then urged me to grab it at Genting previously. ..They have different stalls from different countries such as Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, etc selling these souveniors - Just make sure you do stop by when you are up the hill OK!
