It has a nice and comfy interior which is not too noisy and just best suited for dining.Yum yum...Ok, here are the pictures for your viewing. I love their wantan - with lots of meat fillings and it's huge. The soup base doesn't contain too much of MSG and artificial flavourings as I believe it is boiled with chicken stock . They even have western menu and we ordered their pizzas..miniature ones anyway..but with lots of cheese toppings and super thin crusts at all sides..even thinner than the Dominos. haha..But it's really good and bet they came up with their own recipes and invention..:P The sambal..oh my...spicy and hot but still I love it so much..haha. It just goes perfectly well with about anything and added up spice and appetizers to the dishes..I dipped them in wantan, pizza's and even my own plate of fried noodle..haha. :D

Slurpy yummy deicious Dim Sum in Ipoh

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350346038528015826" style="DISPLAY: block; This place was said to be very popular in Ipoh and given anytime of the day, it's always fully packed with people ..especially early hours of the morning and you are talking about 6-7 am!!! haha...Ipoh folks are just used to sleeping by the time the clock hits 10pm..wow. Whenever I visit Ipoh, the very one thing which I definitely will not miss is the "Kopi Peng" ..haha..It's somehow or rather different even when you drink it here in Old Town Kopitiam or even those available in Packing. Anyway, say no more but happy viewing on these mouth watering delicacies. :P

Food food food!!

Recently been attending lots of wedding occasions in Ipoh amost every month forthe past three months..haha..anyway, my pictures are basically uploaded in Facebook nowadays..except for food ..I'm reserving the space right here!!! :D these restaurants in Ipoh have suprisingly nicee food and worth the price you pay actually..unlike in KL. My bf stumbled across this place through a friend which recommended us here for some special "date" or occasion which could marked our memories and encarved it in our heart for long...hehe..It has a victorian style interior divided into two different sections which display a different setting of cos..we choosed the corner area where it is nearby to a "see - through" window allowing us to view the scenery especially when it's sunset by 7pm evening...U are seriously gonna love it a lot. :D But one thing - an exception - you may not gonna like it so much from the exterior view since it's a bit old fashioned design - haha ..so don't let that impression dropped till you get in first, okay? Their menus changes every 3 months and price are subjected to 5% Govt tax and 10% service charge - haha..but it deserves it since you will be treated as one of their VIPs with excellent service of cos.

It includes classic Western dishes with a subtle touch of Asian flavours. For starters, a variety of soups and salads are always on the menu. Succulent seafood platters, spice encrusted rack of lamb, grilled rib-eye steak, panfried halibut and seafood pastas are standard favourites as main courses. The chefs also present local Malaysian Nyonya dishes: Top Hats (a signature starter and locally known as kueh pie tee), laksa and a variety of sambals and curries are regularly featured. For desserts, the restaurant offers home-made delights such as ice creams, bread and butter pudding, crumbles, a rich variety of cakes and local Malaysian desserts like cendol, ondeh-ondeh, pulut hitam. Customers often order the cakes to take home. I really can't remember what we have actually ordered, but all of them tasted superb!!! You should take your loved ones there and try them out yourself as it's worth it!

For more information of this place, check this link out:

http://www.top-hat-restaurants.com/menu.html

Eating out at Shabu Shabu Restaurant, Bandar Puteri Puchong

yum yum....I guess this place is already famous among all eateriens from all over everywhere..so I don't think I need to talk about much as its too publicized already..:P I couldnt think of how many times I've came here for some healthy steaming food or whenever I crave for some healthy steamboat ..the toughts about freshly boiled vegetables, spinach, and a variety of selections ranging from meat balls to cuttlefish and lots lots more!! I think why this restaurant has became so successful till today was due to that the price is great at only RM 25 per person and it' s buffet style which means it's unlimited - you eat as you pleased including the delicious pork rolls! On top of that, you get to eat under comfortable and air con environment! Put in comparison likewise places like Johnny Or Coca restaurant, both are a losers to Shabu Shabu in my opinion cause they lacking in terms of price and food freshness and taste!! :P Shabu shabu will only be my one and only place whenever I miss steamboat! What about you? This place we are going has some impressive and classy interior that will surely give an applaud to whoever that visited here. It's cool and posh ambience will definitely make you sit there for hours without a fuss and enjoying your food slowly and relaxingly. We spent a total 2 hours plus with the buffet style service and there are over 58 different cuisines from all over different China provinces which represents each dishes. The only setback was that they are seriously lacking in staffs and chefs...there's like just one chef serving for more than 5 tables at one section at one time and thankfully we are one smart bunch of people and we swiftly ordered almost 15 varieties of dishes for the very first time and totally regret it later on as we practically and unknowingly stuffed up ourselves with chunks of meat and it's seriously so unhealthy. :P But anyway their taste were great , really not something which you can get a chance to eat locally.....the chef must have been from Beijing himself else could have taken up and mastered the Beijing culinary skills there maybe! :P Well, enjoy having a feast of viewing these pictures Ive taken..and anyway right now, it's really worth it going there to check it out as they are having some sort of promotion at only RM 28.80 per head where it's unlimited orders for all the 58 dishes variety but with just one shark fin serving per person. Eat till you sweat and it's even more than the price worth you get back isnt it?

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331462053159060962" style="DISPLAY: block; I guess blogging is like a passing phrase now for me and it will be like using your time off if "only" you have any to spare...so this is what happened to me now exactly...:( Since today is the only time I seriously gotta do some spring cleaning to the files in my camera, I tought why not just write and post up some bits...hahaha..will try to keep it fast though..as I had so much housework to do and clothes ironing and I can tell u it is such a hyper busy weekend for me and thank god I'm also off on Labour's Day which usually I dont get any days off on Public Holidays... Ok, the food tasting is really great and imagine it's such memorable environment with first class treatment by their friendly and professional staffs and even the chef came out as an introduction and for us to give comments and suggest for any improvements on the food and presentation later on. Fantastic huh? :P Anyways, it is my sister who is getting married there ..hehe:P I'm just one who can never be more happy to lay my eyes and appetite on the sumptuous wholly great food in such a posh hotel. Here's the food, food oh food..just the pictures alone is so mouth watering already isnt it? Enjoy.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5331444041030511762" style="DISPLAY: block; That's actually part of the reason why , but also because most of my friends are not local, therefore they won't be around during CNY as most would be busy celebrating their festive mood back in their hometown. But as quiet and boring as it seems to some, I do really enjoyed my CNY holiday. What about yours? The restaurant that we went was in fact not our first visit but probably the second! I remembered our first time was specifically aimed at trying out their so called famous hairy crab which are also known as "super costly" just like eating a piece of gold bar..:P But we ended up not having any hairy crabs but just taking a good view at these crabs displayed proudly in front in different aquarium tanks. hahaha. Even our 4th CNY dinner "Lou Sang" doesnt even have any crab dish in since we choosed the package promotions. Believe me, the food taste and quality was really superb and fantastic and frankly really an eye opener . Price wise was not that far off from being term as "expensive" too. So, I am definitely sure this won;t be my last time here....

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301584475748292578" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; Imagine I was so happen taking a bus from one of the various bus stops in Singapore and was amazed to notice that they even had a board stating the duration of the next bus availability at that particular bus stop! Wow..I was speechless at that point of time in fact.

You don't have to worry about having more damaged skin under the hot scorching sun as everything was built underground especially if you are relying on their MRT which basically readily covered every single neccesity route in and out of town area. Our LRT versus MRT are basically the same as both uses Computer to control but the biggest shortcomings for Mys is that it fails to accomodate some remote places such as Subang, Shah Alam, Puchong and even in some areas in KL! Anyway, I had such a wonderful time strolling along the Singapore Clarke Quay where you are about to witness magical scene of floating boats and restaurants along the river and all the colourful lights litted up beautifully whilst making the whole place come out alive in darkness. I went here on my last night before I departed back to KL and thank god that I did not miss this at all. Sentosa Island was just as sweet and refreshing as an eye opener. We took the cable car which took us hanging up in the middle of the Island above where I could mesmerize and capture every single scene for some time to last I believe... Everything was so good except for one weakness in Singapore for when it comes to a place known for heaven in food. There is less variety and taste wise was below average.. I went for a shopping spree on my first day upon arrival covering almost all the main city area such as raffles city, Orchard Road, Bugis Centre ...It was damn tiring and due to over walking, I suffered feet sores and during my way back, I could hardly walk straight anymore...hahaha..:D Please do have a good view on some of the pictures I;ve taken along the way..trying my best to get the best snap out of a normal camera of mine sadly..:(

Lunch at Dapur Nonya, Restaurant - Bandar Puteri Puchong

I guess these will only be some of the many postings which happened as of not as recent ...dating back to probably few months ago...So, I'm trying to recall back as far as I could still remember - hopefully my memory doesnt fail me. :P It's only this week period which I think I have some free time to spare writing again as i'm on a week off for CNY celebration! :) This restaurant was situated in Bandar Puteri, around the heart of Puteri town centre opposite the Giant supermarket. The food basically are just quite the usual common things other places served, nothing which mades me think it relates to Nonya cooking .. but if you are someone who enjoyed chillie, something to sting ur tastebud, you may wanna consider this restaurant. We ordered a couple of things like their Fried Oyster dipped in signature sambal, Tom Yam Fried Rice and Kuay Teow. Food taste overall not bad, tasty enough and the price was on slightly above average range.

Dinner at Restaurant Dynasty Dragon, Summit USJ

Well....this place was so happened stumbled upon by my sister's bf on some newspapers/articles and that they are having some CNY promotions to attract it's customers and part of it's new opening of the place I guess..Initially we really wanted to take the promotion sent of rm 398 for a 10 course meal with stuffs like sea cucumber, abalone, tiger prawns, Shark Fins as part of the dishes listed down and obviously it seems too good to be true eh? ;P Anyway, we could not since it's just 6 of us - short of 4 person which won't be worth it anymore. Oh yeah, well the reason being of our visit here was to try out new place and secondly it's a course of celebration since my dad just got his bonus/increment at the right time around CNY!! :D hehehe... Dishes that we ordered were Patin Fish steamed with ginger (They called it Teochew style), Butter fried prawns, vegetables, Pork Ribs with Ginkyo Nuts, Roasted pork and Char Siew..Overall the food really indeed fall off our least expectation for this so called class restaurant in hotel somemore. The service is fine..but the food taste were really less than average as it's dull. Nothing to shout upon - it wont make you jump off your seat with the "wow", "yummy" slurp reaction which makes you crave for more after first helping. The worst was with the Patin steamed fish. I was very eager with the Fish dish and couldnt help but being the first to try it when it was served. The first scoop and taste in my mouth almost made me puke due to the muddy stench - smell of fresh water fish in muddy water. It's too much that it is almost unbearable frankly. We just couldnt start with for that dish and decided to inform the chief waitress about it if there is a possibility that they could change it or else cook a different style or something...... well, u know what? it turns out that the fish was indeed in not an exactly "tip top" condition where it is fresh. Hence whichever way it is cooked, will have the same result. hahaha. I was shocked and speechless. Don't know what to say about this place..well, let's just say never try , never know. I don't think we will re-visit here again due to the bad experience. My dad was grumbling all the way back home for such a ruined and unpleasant meal for his treat. haha.

Ho! Bravo and Kudos to you guys. They stayed up late in the wee hours of the morning, started off from scratch with the snowman. It was made up with shreds of newspapers crushed up to form 2 round shapes - One for the head and body, holding it in place with lots of cellophene tapes and masking to ensure that the shape does not fall off. That's just the internal frame of the snowman..as for the external part, they used up layers after layers of white cotton wool to stick on it with glue. The snowman little fingers were made of wooden chopsticks from our pantry! hahaha. As for the mini black hat , eyes and buttons were made from black coloured paper and whiteboard for backing. The christmas tree was definitely using the snow white theme with green leaves and droplets of snows from the white cotton wool. How brilliant isnt it? :D The colourful lights which was litted up in between the leaves left me mesmerizing the beauty of human made art! :D We even did have some gift exchange during christmas among colleagues - The suprises and thrills really indeed changed the entire working mood from boredom to excitement during that period. It's unforgettable. The picture taken with me, is my good working buddy and that's my gift for her..erm I didnt have one yet bcos the mysterious person who is supposed to buy me christmas gift had not prepared any yet..:-( Poor me.

Note: The actual date when this happened was not in January. It's such a wonderful feeling......But he doesnt like it that much saying it has too strong smell of cinnamon which to him appeared to be odd. :P

Food, food, food galore at Restaurant Saisaki, Japanese Buffet style at One Utama

Pheww...I could still recalled my experience eating out at this japanese restaurant which serves buffet luncheon for customers..it was some of the quite famous and most talk about food spot among food bloggers and food lovers, and I would have certainly believe that this name surely does ring a bell to almost all the youngsters who frequently patronise this restaurant. It has several branches , one in One Utama, Sunway Pyramid, Wisma UOA, KL and perhaps many more outlets coming up soon as it's really doing good in it's business. There were so many customers seated at the table including the old. It has nice ambience, quiet and peaceful environment for you to enjoy while savouring their Localised food originated from Japan. They even hung up pictures against the wall during the Japanese colony and the antique drawings and paintings really enthrilled me with curiosity of the Japanese tradition and I was starting to imagine thingss....haha. If you wish to call for their steamboat style, you will be given a mini steamboat stove with gas for the preparation. Believe me..it's like a huge eating episode for this one visit..I couldnt almost cover all the servings laid on a long table right in the centre of the area for you to serve yourself and help yourself with the food. It's like few rows of table laid on with wide selection of varieties ranging from Lamb stew, Lamb Shank, cod fish soup, mutton soup, teppanyaki style ranges, Fried Tempura, Salmon fish, sushiesss, raw stuffs like their giant oysters , snails , prawns, lobsters, abalone /seabass and so many others which I think frankly It's absurd for me to be remembering every single dishes and what they are called as ..to me, I just eat what I've taken and dont bother knowing what names as it's just too manyy!! Here were just some of the picture shots I've taken during that time for your viewing..It's a nice place to dine out if you wanna try almost everything under the sun for Japanese food. It has amost anything at all..you name it, you have it. Sometimes they may even have some promotion and discount to be given away ..so do keep an eye for it as it's going to be more worth it that time. ;)

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295820970104008162" style="DISPLAY: block; I love going out to attend these as you may get to observe how different couples hold their wedding bonquet and the rules and traditions involved and practised. This one which we attended last weekend was really unique and yet one of the most classic wedding I've seen. It's nothing like those usual red cloth laid on tables and red carpets which symbolises wealth and happiness in Chinese restaurants or hotels, but it's more like a very Westernish style which the wedding ceremony itself was held in a Bungalow or In-House thingy which in actual it's a western restaurant which serves western cuisine and it's famous in Ipoh. The name of the place is called "INDULGENCE". The theme used was also very westernish with elegant white droppings decorations with blue flowers. The bride and bridegroom are such marvellous couples and the bride looks really elegant and pretty. Both are doctors in their profession which obviously explains most of their wedding simplicity, elegant and style which has it's class of its own. It's a a buffet lunch which holds at least over 200 guests and one thing the rainy weather almost dampen the occasion as the extension area was wet due to the heavy rain and the area where we sat needs to be moved in slightly.haha. Following a speech and vows exchange witnessed by all , food were served and started with songs played by the band and videography displayed on the LCD projector to be viewed . It's really so much of a difference unlike the fuss and hassle of the traditional chinese wedding which has endless list of rules and procedures isn't it? I think I would like one of this for my wedding and perhaps simplicity has it's own perfection in one's eyes - depending on how you would view it as be. :)

DVD watching on Lazy Saturday - 28 Weeks Later

Today is again one of the many weekends where I spent my day in my room at home sweet home...and that's where I started to blog here...Usually weekend time passes really fast. It's more like a routine for me, one day for outings, another at home which includes room cleaning, ironing and just be a lazy bump for one full day!!:D But today is a gloomy day for me..just had some teenage fights with my darling, so here I am, sulking and decided to put my mood back into swing by writing!!

I'm supposed to be watching the continuation of one DVD called "28 weeks later"...I had too many DVDs at home mostly 98% pirated..haha..cos heck it' s cheap, convenient and oh of cos u must know where to get it. But I dont do with DVDs when it comes to huge box office movies or those which have great sound-thunder-effects in the cinema...it's too sober and wasting isnt it?

Story of this movie was basically zombie - walking of the dead..hehe..nothing much to shout about, it took me weeks to finish this DVD if you believe it or not. Killings, flesh tearing, bloody and gory scenes is the main attraction for this movie. Story plot was lousy in fact. So please dont go to cinema to watch this. It's a total waste of your time and $$. One piece of advise. :)

Dorothy Perkins - Catching the last train during Mega Sales

Ahh...well, cute? sorry for the too flowery and colourful background to snap as this is really the best shot I could snap on..:P Dont you think it's a wonderful piece of cloth? It reminded me of the olden days where our old grandma use to gather all those unwanted piece of rags with different patterns, geometrical and flowery prints and patch these up into one complete piece of magnificent dress or even a blanket for their children..using needle and thread..ah..that time I dont think they have those modern sewing machine yet...they relied solely on skills.."Hand sewing"!! haha..i actually eye witnessed someone using their mom's hand sewing blanket which made up from colourful clothes patched up and he is still faithfully using it till now..and it smells good..he said. :D but it has been over the years that it is now torn and tattered but it's something of sentimental value to him...:)
Coming back to this, perhaps thats why I was particularly attracted to this piece of 3 quarter length top. It only costs RM143. (Under non discounted items**) What to do, just simply fall in love with the prints..

This 3 quarter length jean cut is something I was looking for since it goes pretty well with that top. I'm not especially a keen jeans wearer since I don't think I look good as Ive got heavy butt which needs to fit in to huge sizes that eventually make me look baggy and odd overall. hahaha.

But I needed something casual to wear during weekends, that's why I bought it. It's only RM 98
Best buy!!! :D The belt was actually an add on..This is also the very first thick belt I've own so far..and the inner linings are made of genuine leather...Smellss....GOOD. :p Guess how much? It's only RM 53!

That's how I reaped the opportunity for good bargain during the mega sales..just three miserable stuffs at Mid Valley. Pathetic huh? I could have sweep in more things, but don't really have the time for shopping besides the location is rather far from my house. Plain lazy...huh.

Going Korean for Lunch at Mid Valley at Korea Qing Zhou Restaurant

Ah finally long awaited weekends after weekends, I managed to go for a shopping spree at Mid Valley ever since the mega sale has been on for months!! No choice...it's really too far from my home that we kept cancelling our plans! haha..So, we reached at 2pm and were very hungry. So we decided to go "Korean" this time to aid our calling tummy!! :P So, here is a quick snap on the interior part of the restaurant. I love the miniature dolls at display in picture.

Ok..what to eat? oh gosh..we were flipping through the menu for 10 minutes before we decided on something mutually. haha.no beef for my dear. He dont take.Else I'll definitely go for the beef as seen in picture. Love it so much..I remembered eating this once in a lifetime at one Korean steamboat restaurant right in the inner town of KL, Hotel Corus. The beef meat is so thinly sliced and non fat that when it's taken to grilled or deep in boiling soup "steamboat style", it tastedjust perrrrfect. Sweet and beefy. Slurp..Finally we make our call with miserable dishes below.

Ok, here you go..our first main snacks..in Korean style..I was taken aback that they serve these stuffs at the start of our main meal..oh..maybe this is how the way it goes..pardon me for not knowing how to eat in Korean restaurant..haha. The 5 small portion snacks consists of steamed vege soaked in sesame oil and some savoury to taste, so healthy. Hardly any oil staints on the plate.!! but it tasted good. :D Then we have smashed potatoes, second row right. Of cos if you are asking me in comparison, I still think smashed potatoes at Kenny Rogers, Dave Deli's still the best! This somehow tasted sweet with potatoes melting in your mouth. The bean sprouts are also steamed.Phew..So healthy eating isn't it? haha. Then comes the "Kim Chii" they called it in Korean at top row left. I took one big chunk of it in my mouth one shot that I almost threw out everything, because it tasted so sour and saltish. My dear hated it so much. He told me, these awful stuffs tasted like rotten vegetables! hahaha.

Ah..here comes our ordered drinks. I had Iced Peach Red Tea and my dear had Ice Lemon tea which tasted like bittergourd or medicine drink. It's bitter and super sour . Poor thing. Wrong choice. But mine was splendid. It's exactly like Pure Icy Peach in natural flavouring. Each costed about RM 2.

Ok, now let's talk about this fish dish that I ordered as extras. At first, my dear was sceptical about this fish. He said, look at the price..Oh my..and then well, pictures sometimes can be really overrated as in the menu, it looks so much bigger, chunkier and juicier. hahaha. One theory I had on the outcome was, perhaps the chef wasnt keeping tap on the time while grilling it, that it eventually went overcooked and instead of grilled fish, fried fish is more like it. :D The flesh and outer skin of the fish was hard and dry. Luckily it went better with their Korean special chillie dipping in soya sauce. There were hardly any substance in it. I ate the bones as well , since it's crunchy and edible. haha. The fish tasted almost 90% similar to our local Ikan Kembung though it's NOT. If it is, I guess the owner actually made huge profit as Kembung fish are damn cheap. So, this actually costed RM20 !!

Okay, here comes the Steamboat grilled chicken with vege for 2 person. Initially I really wanted to order and settle for individual bowl of Korean noodle or something, but again we were tricked into the picture display from their menu. Arrghh!!. When this was served, we tought we could start digging in our chopsticks and eat...but it's raw!! Aww...Then the waitress help us to light up the fire which was placed on top of a mini stove. We waited very impatiently for the chicken meat to be fully cooked. It was so distressing since our tummy were growling and it took so long....hahaha.. Taste like was so so. The gravy was special. Sweet soury gravy that tasted a bit like tomatoes paste sauce. Only ingredients for this dish are cabbages, sliced tomatoes, flower mushrooms, big sliced onions, spring onions and sliced chicken meat. haha. We managed to finish everything and overall was just an average meal to satisfy our appetite. This plate of dish costed RM 25.90.

Overall, taste was average for a Korean restaurant. I believe there are many other places which tasted far better than this. Price depends. Like the fish in this aspect was way too costly. Not worth it. So my final verdict is, if I ever visit this restaurant again, I'm definitely gonna call individual bowl of noodles variety. No, no for the above especially the fish.

Total amount of bill came up to RM 60 with 5% additional tax. Cash and Credit cards accepted.

**Additional Information on how to find this Restaurant easily, kindly click on this link at -->

http://www.midvalley.com.my/store/fnb/store_fnb.asp

Shopping took us 5 hours and off we went back home after that. Dinner was at MC Donald since he suddenly took the sudden cravings for Mc CHicken Burger...Sigh..So no choice. I'm forced to accompany him to have Mc D for dinner. Hahaha. But at least I bought myself a nice piece of floral blouse with 3/4 length, a leather lining white belt and knee length tight fitting jean all from DP (Dorothy Perkins) and happy enough it was FREE , a gift from him. Hehe.

That's how I spent my day...Yawwn..so tired. Sweet dreams now. :)

Quick Dinner at Mamak Stalls - The famous Asia Cafe, Subang

It's one of those tiring weekdays after work which I met up with my bf for a quick dinner at the usual Mamak stalls at Asia Cafe..I cant even recall how many times we have been there, but since it's out of convenience and being near, this is where we often re-visited a hundred times. haha..food wise you can get it cheap and some tasted good too. We used to order crabs and ikan bakar plus La-La here since it's cheap and tasted not bad unlike other places which selling more expensive. This place I believe was made to cater for the nearby Inti college students whom are the most frequent patrons there. They have one nicely built Cyber Cafe as well. If you wanted to feast your eyes on young pretty ladies and handsome funky guys, here can be a place of your choice..hehe...:P Environment wise is Ok. You have open air settings with many big trees below you, a big TV screen for entertainment and musics. Lots of food choices here. Take your pick!! haha.

This is our usual favourites whenever we drop by this place. It's a huge size order on Fresh Carrot Juice with milk for only RM5. haha. Cheap isnt' it? And we always end up not able to finish up all. It's really made up of freshly grinded carrots and there's substancial amount inside. You may not get it elsewhere for such a price. Sweetness wise just nice. Not too sweet. Some mamak stalls especially run by Indians or Malays serves really hyper sweet drinks that I cant consume at all. It's like drinking a glass of sugar water. Horrible....

Decided to order 4 pisces of Barbecued Chicken Wings. Hmm...I dont really like it firstly because it's super oily. The base of the plate was covered with one thick layering of oil. I've got to wipe my mouth and fingers with loads of tissues while eating it.!! It will be great if it's not so oily. Taste wise, you can smell the burned charcoal. Huge portion with considerable amount of meat. Not overly barbecued though. Just Okay for me. It's best to eat it alone since the chillie sauce given doesnt blend well. :) It's at RM 6.

Too much of a fried stuffs isnt it for a dinner meal? Thanks to my bf . haha. I guess he was finding for some really fried stuffs that night. This one was worse than the barbecued chicken wings unfortunately. Because the owner overly fried it until it's a bit hard and there's hardly any meat. Really a dissapointment since this causing a whopping RM 7 bucks!! We decided to ban this stall in future. It's a malay owner.

This was ordered by my bf since he was looking for something light and somehow just wanted to eat mee goreng. hahaha..they call this Indonesian Mee Goreng. Sigh..I dont see how special it was since at home, I can cook even better instant noodle than this. :D It's nothing special. Just tasted exactly like the Instant Mee Goreng which you can buy heaps of it from the supermarket. But he told me this tasted great. The noodle texture is soft and smooth which he claims you can't find it everywhere. Hmm..I doubt it. :P The fried egg is over cooked to me. Look at it you will know what I meant. This plate of noodle costed RM 4.50. Goshh....and it's a small portion. What a let down.

And rightfully, Im supposed to have my claypot "Lou Shue Fan" but somehow waited more than half an hour for it, the person did not show up. Perhaps the owner must have forgotten totally about my order. There was simply too many people queued up to place their order at that time. I guess business was exceptionally good for this stall. I will try it out in future and comment on it. To me, the best ever Lou Shue Fan so far, is still the one at SS2 , Damansara, Restaurant Sri Murni. hehe...

We left the place without the Lou Shue Fan. Bad service and too long waiting. I've lost my appetite and rather head back home.

Location: Subang Jaya SS 15/8 (opposite Inti College)

Business Hours: evening till late night

Contact: +603 - 2272 5494

Dinner at Restaurant Mei Keng Recipe at Bandar Puteri , Puchong

Haha..on Saturday night, me and family went over to Restaurant Mei Keng Recipe at Bandar Puteri for dinner just before we head off to watch the fireworks from Italy team. This is how the interior looks like. As usual, buzzle with so many patrons from everywhere. Services wise in terms of speed is pretty fast. The chef inside was seen coming out and in from the kitchen to serve the customers. But he looks so sweaty and that's not a pleasant sight..strange thing enough was why is he having to serve the dishes when other workers should be assigned and employed to handle this job? This is so far, the first I've seen. Weird..perhaps there is lack of workers..Hmm...

Ok, here's the menu. I didnt even care to read every details of it..since the ordering was taken care of by them. I just browse through briefly and observe the surroundings and people which interest me more..haha.

Here comes the yummy "Yong Tau Fu soup" . In this restaurant, this is suppose to be their specialties. Practically I've eaten so many typical yong tau fu from the original Ampang Yong Tau Fu or some just named after this famous owner and I still think the one at the inner heart of Puchong which grabbed the "Ho Chiak" title is still the best. I've been a couple of times there now and didnt get to write on it yet. Will do it once Im going over there soon. ;) We ordered their big round meat balls, Tau Fu, Fish Balls in soup. Soup tasted okay. Meat balls are super huge and it's fresh and spongy. Not bad.

Then we ordered fried types (Fried Sui Kau, Meat Rolls Fu-Chuk, Brinjals). Yummy..this was my favourite more than the wet ones above. The Sui Kau tasted delicious, with fish paste fillings and chopped carrots with sengkuang. The Fu-Chuk tasted great too. haha. These both costed a total of RM 23.20.

This was so far one of the very best I've tasted. The Hokkien Mee. I get to taste and smelled the kuali frying effect. That's what makes it good. :P The ingredients were pretty simple. Just some sliced pork meat, veges and prawns. But they put a lot of small cubes of fried "Chue-Yau" , I dont know how to describe it in English words as usually this is what Chinese will add in when they cook Hokkien noodle to give it a better taste and aroma. A plate of RM 10.

This is the Fried Glass Noodle . I still prefer the Hokkien Mee , perhaps its more tasty and smells better. This was fried ordinarily like what we can get on mamak stalls. Nothing in spectacular. Added on is the usual bean sprouts, chopped onions, chillies, sliced mushrooms and carrots, shredded eggs and lime to sprinkle onto it. :) This costed RM 5.50. So much of a difference huh from the Hokkien Mee? No wonder there's this saying, you pay for the quality of things and in this case food applies.

We had this "Leong Sui or Sea Coconut" as our dessert before we start on withthe main meal actually. Haha. It is nicer if they put it to chill more. In the end I have to add up more ice cubes to chill it. :P The ingredients which they added in are Fungus, Sea Coconut, Red Dates and Lin Zhi. Fungus are well known to give good benefit for skin complexion. So eat more of this!! haha.

One bowl priced at RM 1.60.

Total bill came up to RM 47.36 inclusive of 5% Government Tax. Cash and Credit Cards are accepted here and it's Non Halal. However, Im rather dissapointed with the service given for this restaurant. The lady boss was kind of snobbish, not too sure if that's because she is exceptionally busy entertaining other customers or have some other issues back there at front counter, but we actually waited for more than 15 minutes for the bill! That's pretty frustrating since we are in a hurry too head off to Putrajaya that time. She wasnt doing anything practically but continued to serve other customers, running about and was talking to her workers. Later on, in much disbelievement and dismay, she ordered one young boy to calculate the bill. What's wrong with her? Is she really that busy that she needed to push this simple job to a young boy?

This is quite unacceptable to me. Other than that, food wise and price is reasonable. This was my second visit so far. First visit we do not encounter any bad experience though. So, you may wanna hop in to find out. :)

Information:

Restaurant Mei Keng Recipe

No : 17, Jalan Puteri, 4/1

Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong

Selangor.

Mobile No: 017-2012882

Dinner at Restaurant Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh at Bandar Puchong Utama

Wow..look at that poster hanging up the wall..In fact I only noticed it after the third time Ive been here .. Obviously this place is somewhere you should try out as it has won award and with the famous face of Amber Chia ..that appears in magazines , the famous GUESS model , being one of the asian who have made it internationally..and now im seeing her here!! Amazing. isn't it? Go check it out yourself. :)

Ah...I must say this is one of the worst shot I've put up in here but what choice do I have? It's late at night, and this place being located at the inner heart of Puchong, one of the older area I would say, imagine a young lad, coming in and start taking snapshots right in front of the doorway of this restaurant? Im afraid I could have shocked the owner and the young boy , startled and puzzled with my akward behaviour...In fact, I made my attempt twice, tying to sneak in to have a better shot, but I manage to catch a glimpse of an eye contact and face expression made by the young boy who is staring at my direction or me in a weird manner.."he must be thinking, are you trying to blackmail us, my family and ruin our business??" It made me feel like a papparazi. hahaha. So, this shot was actually taken right inside the car on our way back. :P

This is the interior part of the restaurant. Look at those ah paks, uncles, having their late bak kut teh dinner and looking very relax , engrossed in their newspaper reading. Definitely these faces are of the people from Klang valley ..why i say that? Cos, Bak Kut Teh was first originated in Klang and look at how many shops we have in every corners of Klang area that holds up the Bak Kut Teh banner...I spotted an indian couple here and in fact it was the same exact couple from our last visit!! haha.

Usually, we dont call any more sweet drinks when we eat Bak Kut Teh. Imagine it's a sinful feeling to have high content of calories made up from the soup content itself and to add up with the drinks. :D Besides, I think ordering a plain "Suet Char"- Iced Chinese Tea" goes perfectly well with this. It's just 0.40 cents per cup. hehe...

Let me explain a bit on the soup version first...practically each time when I ever go for Bak Kut Teh, I don't fancy the soup version that much. I know you may think it's really odd since people recqonise Bak Kut Teh as the "Soup Version" - Pure original. If you talk about the Dry version, my frens would usually throw back comments like " Huh? What's that?", "Where can you get to eat it?", " I cant imagine it's dry, nice ah?". hahaha. This soup version tasted really normal to me. The soup tasted not bad, not too salty, enough of herbal aroma and ingredients that are boiled inside this brown broth. I've tasted other places before, and some really out from expectation , as the soup is watery, lack of herbal kick and it's more like drinking a bowl of pork soup without the Bak Kut Teh version. Hence with all these comments, this is not always my preference when we have Bak Kut Teh. This costed RM 7.50 per serving of two. But of course, you can call in to add soup many rounds without any additional charges. :)

We side ordered "tau fu pok" in herbal soup since we were rather hungry!! We didn't get to order this during our last visit, so I would like to know how well it goes. Hmm..this really fall out from my expectation cos my bf tought it tasted like overcooked- burned Tau Fu Pok. There's this strange charcoal smell in it. haha...Initially I didnt realise as it wasn't that obvious. I had another one and I agreed with his. Perhaps, what the cook did, was he fried the Tau Fu Pok first? I dont know what really gone wrong inside the kitchen. :P This costed RM 3.00.

Now, this is my favourite call when it comes to Bak Kut Teh. I fell in love with this dry version during my very first visit to these outlets in Klang. I think it is a brilliant way to prepare and adds up to a variety of taste for Bak Kut Teh. The extremely tender meat, glazed in a shiny dark soy sauce, is served with shreds of dried cuttlefish, sliced ladies’ fingers, dried chillies and tasted nothing like the herbal, meaty broth bak kut teh lovers are familiar with. Of cos for the wet version, we ordered tender meat as well. I simply love it. This costed RM 8.50.

Total bill amount came up to RM 21.40. With such a reasonable price, it's worth trying out if you are in hunger for some Bak Kut Teh on any occasional days and would like to explore on other different places than the usual ones in Klang. Tell me what you think and check out the Amber Chia award banner and you have your chance to comment on the outcome. I will definitely visit here again but not immediate....

Address : 53 Jalan BPU,Bandar Puchong Utama.

Contact Number : 012- 6744440, 016-2079698, 016-2079896

Snap Shots on the after Opening of MIFC by Global Team at Putrajaya on August 19th, 2007

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104743701284292434" style="DISPLAY: block; I only managed to catch a real glimpse from a distance at the highway along the Putrajaya , the night when Italy team was performing. We adjourned from Puchong after our dinner..Gosh...queues were already forming up before even nearing Putrajaya..cars were seen parked stationery on the highway roads itself!!! Imagine that..we couldnt even get inside as roads block were already imposed. Aih..unfortunately..I could not get pictures from the Italy team..even then a normal typical camera doesnt turn out wonderful ...It's a waste of time putting it up here..My sister has the video cam but im still figuring it out ways to download those video scenes up in my blog..So above are just some of the best snap scenes during August 19th played by the Global Team during their opening. :) In my personal opinion, Italy team was the best..they had many different unique techniques such as loveheart shapes, palm trees , dancing fountains in multi colour arrays of lights litted up high in the sky. Last 5 minutes of the whole 20 minutes show was superb.

Found a website which have the insights of MIFC (Malaysian International Fireworks Competition) . Please do take a look at here --> http://www.mifc.com.my/test/mc/index.html

Alright..Im gonna take a break and wishing you all Happy Merdeka Day!! With the awnings, lanterns hung up, and blue painted colour at the top part of the restaurant? Looks authentic and unique.

This area is specially catered for smaller groups or crowds , so we were advised to choose this section. On the other right hand side corner, seperated from the wall, that area is for larger groups of people. There are many ceiling fans spinning from top, hence I dont need to worry about sweating out while having my food. Weather was hot that day. Phew...:P There's this aquariums in glass display in front, near main entrance of this section. Interesting isnt it? hehe.

Erm..see these news papers cuttings and pictures on display from their glass window? I didnt bother to read it, but was just browsing through as it catches my attention. Must be a well known place that it has it's master piece of news which tells us about their fame and glory ? haha..could be. :P

Look!! Fishes swimming in the aquarium. :D Too bad all these poor lil creatures are victims to man slaughtering...Thinking about it, made me think twice about having it for dinner.

Oh my goshhh! I gasped in aw when I first saw these huge super gigantic crabs..where on earth could you get these big crabs here? I reckon that it must be imported. I think just their hairy legs alone bearing 8 inches long or more. Their body are tied up with the legs, which I assumed it's to prevent these crabs from jumping out from the aquarium. These poor creatures seems to struggle free from their prison and attempting to walk and scrumble their way up from the aquarium. hahaha.

Here comes the fish. It was somehow uniquely prepared with light kunyit sauce, blending with chopped onions and red chillies to give a combination of sweet and spicy taste. The fish meat comes in huge and generous portion with it's soft and tender meat definitely makes you eat non stop and wanting more. Freshness is their main specialty when it comes to preparation and skill while decorating the dish with parsley, and thinly sliced carrots on top. Costed RM 22.50.

This drunken pot of prawns was my bf's favourite dish during dinner. Haha. Being not a particular fan of prawns eater no matter how it is prepared, I gave in to this call since I had the fish and other dish to make up with. The soup was magnificent. Boiled with chinese wine, thinly sliced ginger, herbs like Lin Zhi ( Traditionally used to strengthen eyes) , chopped spring onions, it was really worth trying. There are 7 pisces of huge fresh prawns in this drunken pot , which out of two were not so fresh. I wanted to call up the owner or boss to complaint but my bf stopped me from doing it since it's not neccesary to create such a fuss and can be overlooked. Hmm...I gave in anyway since we weren't their regular customers and this is our very first visit, since, so just give them a pass for this. :P This costed RM 18.

So green to the eyes isnt it?? This vegetables was cooked with slight wine to taste and chopped garlics. Tasted natural and was actually impressed with the freshness. Usually if it is not, those leave colours are slightly darker to brown. Overcooked and kept too long in refrigerator that it loses it's colour. This dish seems simple but the skill in frying and preserving the freshness is not something which you must underestimate. :D This costed RM 8.

This piece of dish was called Fried chicken in Honey Sauce. I wanted to give it a try since it appears to be something different from what we usually ordered when we visited the chinese restaurants. Perhaps I was blinded by the unique name that he tought it is slightly harder and too salty. To me, it wasnt an exceptionally spectacular dish after tasting since it is fried and perhaps was over fried till it seems a bit harder from the outer skin. Dipped in thick honey sauce to serve with sliced green pepper, chillie , onions and ginger. I guess the chicken tasted more of honey substance rather than the originality of the dish itself. However overall, it is okay. Small portion for a price of RM16 Huh...:P

Total bill came up to rm 81 for two. Pretty expensive slightly from the usual restaurants I think. Amount came up with inclusive of chinese tea, towel, snacks, rice and 5% government tax. It was quite a suprise since I noticed this restaurant has only two branches, one here at Aman Suria and another in Singapore itself from their bill printed statement stating in GST dollars.haha. No wonder with such a preference to suit the Singaporeans tastebuds, perhaps that is why everything seems slightly above the average in pricings huh. :P Just an assumption of mine anyway. Well, I will visit here again, but not at immediate plans though. Will try out other dishes when there's opportunity. Feel free to hop in and try if you are so happen passing by that area. :)

Ocean Palace Seafood Restaurant

Address: H-G-18, Ground Floor,

Jalan PJU 1/45, Aman Suria Damansara

47301 Petaling Jaya.

Contact Number : 03-78063539 , Fax No : 03- 78065301

Business Hours : 12pm-3pm, 6pm-11pm

Cash and Credit Cards accepted.

My Adorable Pet, Moggie - Isnt she cute??

Now, it's pet blogging for me..Her name is Moggie. She was brought back from the SPCA to our lovely home..and found so much happiness and she is the queen of our home now...Moggie Rules!! I can say she is the luckiest cat among the stray cats which are homeless, fighting for food and suvival..what a pity isnt it? It breaks our heart especially among the true pet lovers around. Our pet, Moggie seems to be so connected to our hearts, especially my mom who has sacrificed her full time commitment to taking care and loving her...she even sleeps in every corner of our home, not one bit of any area and corners, you couldnt find her trace and scent! :D

She will wake up every morning , with her sweet thunderous meowsss , to get out from the kitchen where we kept her locked during the night when we were asleep. Snuggling in beside bed foot, sofas, her favourite spot, and she will sleep all through the day after getting her usual morning fish treat and a short round of playful exercise routines with my mom the trainer! haha..It's good since Moggie is an old cat, needs proper diet and exercise to tone up muscles so that it wont get slobbish..just like us humans too! :P The above video capture was taken from mobile in gpp format, but I need to convert it to the supported video format. Sorry if quality was bad..

That's her! Wrestling and with her usual inquisitive behaviour, checking and investigating any item or anything which is new and unusual! And look at her gnarling and hissing towards the end as self defense when she gets jumpy and irritated!! hahaha...scary isnt it?

Do you know where is she ? She's just discovered a new spot for her territory! My sister's room cupboard top! hahaha. "Don't look at me like this? What have I done wrong?" she said that I knew it.

Merdeka! Merdeka! She shouted...haha isn't she a patriotic cat too? She knows and could feel the patriotic mood among us all during merdeka..and pledge to join in the fun too! :D

I'll definitely put in more cuter snapshots of her soon, as there's just too many to choose from. Few big albums of her, if you believe it or not. haha.

Sumptuous Dinner with Family at Bumbu Bali, Bandar Puteri Puchong

Much have been said about this particular place which what makes me and family decided to head off to Bumbu Bali. Looking at the interior design which gives an authentic Balinese environment which feels very much like home, the cute miniature umbrella sticks with the statutory Balinese symbol posters at the walls, indeed given an extra credits for the owner of this restaurant for their effort. If you are searching for some peace and quiet environment amidst the buzzling city outside, and craving for some hot spicy food on an exeptionally wet rainy days, please do visit this place if you have not. :) Popular for it's individual set of dinner platter which comes in super huge serving it offers a variety of choices that will surely spice up your tongue.

This is the main counter from upstairs seating in the restaurant. In fact, upstairs area are much more ventilated probably due to it's higher ground with windows open up for outside viewing. It is not air-conditioned but with lots of spinning fans above you. It works just fine even on hot sunny afternoon. The settings are very much in their original Balinese style with several statues placed at the corner for decoration and pride which serves their main purpose of a solely Balinese place which you can only find it here. :)

Haha..this is a one big family picture of me and my darling, together with my youngest sister and bf and of cos my mom and dad. It's very much an exceptional valuable occasion on a family outing together that we don't usually have the opportunity to. Sweet memories to be remembered for a long time to come. :)

This set was called "Nasi Ayam Bertutu"..funny that it sounded more to me like "Nasi Ayam Berkutu" ...hahaha..as I dont really understand what's the real meaning behind the name invented and why. Don't you think? This dish has 2 big portions of chicken breast which is grilled and served with lots of sambal and besides that they given another two different chillie sauce to add up the spice, with sprinkled sliced red chillies and onions. The sambal seriously tasted so spicy that after nearly finishing the whole meal, I was feeling hot and craving for iced water intensely. The Keropok Ikan Bilis I left it aside as it just couldn't get in to my system as I was stuffed up till my throat that time. Furthermore, It's very oily. This costed RM 20.50.

This set was ordered by my sister's bf. It's fried version all together. I don't like it personally since It's rather too dry for me. But it tasted good base from his comments. Same chillie sauce servings given which is standard. The only difference which distinguish each of these servings are basically whether you decide to have chicken (grilled with sambal toppings as addtional or fried), else a combination of seafood platter consists of White Squids, dory fish, prawns and Otak Otak. This costed RM 20.50 and they have a funny name for it too.. "Siap Mengoreng". Hahaha

I regretted later on that I did not place my order for this seafood platter as It seems so large in serving and I'm afraid I would have trouble gorging down these stuffs and ended up passing it to my bf and he would have a hard time finishing up extrass which will pile up more calories to his tummy which has already currently having 2 pack of tyres. hahaha. :D They call this dish "Nasi Campur BumbuBali" at RM 28.50.

Overall, the meal was a pleasant one only if it could have been served in a smaller portion. Such a serving could only fit well for Mat Salleh or an Ogre. Hahaha. But males are a better lot in eating since the males made a statement that they are still okay with the quantity. Gosshh..:D Total amount came up to RM 180 inclusive of a glass of Lemon Soda (RM 6.90), Caramel Presso (RM 8.90) and 5% of GovernmentTax. Iced water is FREE of charge. I think in terms of price wise it is still reasonable very much like other standard restaurants. SO, to say, I will definitely make another visit here again some time later. :)

Bumbu Bali, Balinese Restaurant at Bandar Puteri PuchongAddress : 18 & 18-1, Jalan Persiaran 1,Bandar Puteri Puchong, 47100 PuchongContact Number : 03- 80618699 , Fax : 03-80626698Business Hours : 11am till late including Public Holidays
